Today’s wedding photos are from Stacy & Simon’s intimate rock garden wedding. The ceremony took place at the National Botanical Gardens in Canberra.
The rock garden lawn is one of eight locations at the botanical gardens available for weddings. It’s also one of the most open gardens and has its own waterfall.
A nice touch was the Harley Davidson on display at the ceremony of their rock garden wedding. The significance being how they both meet. They first meet while Simon was on a trip in the states, and was out riding a Harley.

Simon and the grooms men were dressed in grey three piece suits. Stacy arrived in an old style jaguar with her mother, bridesmaids and flower girl.
It wasn’t long before the ring barer and flower girl came out from behind the trees. And proceeded to walk along the path of the rock garden lawn. 
The flower girl scatted pink rose petals, with her older brother by her side. Guests gushed at the cuteness, of the page boy and flower girl and giggled as all a sudden the flower girl took a detour and ran across the lawn. Making a big circle and came back to continue scattering rose petals with a cheeky grin and acted if nothing happened. 🙂
The bridesmaids followed wearing one shoulder, knee length coral dresses, holding Rose bouquets. Stacy was accompanied by her mum and wore a stunning wedding gown. The front covered in intricate lace detailing. While the back of the dress was sheer with pearl detailing.
The ceremony was short and sweet and included a reading by Simon’s mother.

Stacy & Simon took the opportunity for photos and drinks with their guests. This extra time with their guests meant a lot to them, as most were from out of town. The kids experienced the locals of the botanical gardens. Lizards sun baked on rocks at the waterfall. And a curious kangaroo popped in to see what all the fuss was about.
For the bride and groom portraits we took a walk through the rain forest. Just like their engagement shoot late last year.
At this point the botanical gardens had closed to the public. Which meant Stacy and Simon had the rain forest to themselves for their bride and groom portraits.
The reception was on the deck of the botanical gardens cafe and catered by the Hellenic club.
To end the formal proceeding was the cake cutting, speeches and there first dance under moonlight.
