Today’s photos are of Stacy and Simon who met while travelling around the USA.
Their engagement shoot was at the Australian National Botanic Gardens in Canberra. Where they will marry later this year.
They have chosen the rock garden for their wedding ceremony. And would like photos in and around the rain forest including some of the surrounding gardens.
So today was part getting to know them. Part trial for their bride and groom portraits for their wedding day.
We started the session with in the rain forest. Walking the board walk path, that lead to some interesting places deep within the rain forest.
Certain areas had more natural light than other parts. The combination of available light and location gave some variety to their photos from the engagement shoot.
An added bonus to using the rain forest, was that it provided shade and cooler temperature from the warm weather.
We also took the opportunity to visit other sections of the botanic gardens.
Next was the Rock garden where their ceremony will take place. It’s an open sunny area with small sections of shade.
To finish off we walked the perimeter of the rain forest.
We discovered several lawns and little pockets of the gardens that will be perfect for some variety on their wedding day.
I’m looking forward to photographing their wedding. If today’s photos are anything to go by it’s going to be a cracker of a day.
